Author Guidelines

The Assam University Journal of Science and Technology is a multidisciplinary research journal. It is published by Assam University, Silchar. The journal is concerned with original research papers and review articles related to all disciplines in Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences and Technology. It also includes book reviews and announcement of seminars and symposia. The Assam University will have the copyright of all the published papers. Research papers should report the results of original research. The research paper should neither have been previously published elsewhere nor under consideration by any other publisher.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The research paper should neither have been previously published elsewhere nor under consideration by any other publisher.
  2. The manuscript should be type written (11 pt. size in Times New Roman font) in English in single space on one side of A4 size (printing area 22.5 cm x 15.5 cm) bond paper with margins of 4 cm.at the top, bottom and on the left.
  3. The manuscript should be submitted in duplicate to the Chief Editor. While submitting the paper kindly provide us the symbol fonts used in the CD.

  4. Contributors are requested not to submit papers exceeding 15 printed pages (7,500 words).

  5. Once accepted for the publication, contributors will be required to send soft copy containing the full text of the paper including notes, references, tables, charts, figures and maps, if any.

  6. Prospective authors should arrange the manuscripts as:

    (a) an Abstract of ca 200 words and keywords.

    (b) a clear statement of the problem, which facilitates an analytical development. (Introduction)

    (c) a description of an account of used methods (Materials and Methods)

    (d) factual research findings (Results)

    (e) Discussions

    (f) Conclusion

    (g) References

  7. References in the text must be in the alphabetical order. In body of the text, references should be cited by Name and year system. Examples: Misra (1995), Bhattacharjee (1977), or Sinha and Bhoi (1996, 1997), Gupta (1990). For more than two authors use et.al. after name; e.g.; Shah e al. (1995).
 

Copyright Notice

The Assam University will have the copyright of all the published papers. The articles can be downloaded and used under the fare-use policy of the Copyright Act. Commercial use of the downloaded articles are exclusively prohibited. The articles of the journal are published under the Creative Commons license.

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
