Immigrant Psychology in South Asian Canadian Women's Poetry

Abstract


Postmodern Literatures Poetry are of great interestto the person who has literary bent of mind. Because this grabs the attention towards the subtle and drastic changes, transformations taking place in the society along with the psychological aspects in the psyche of the author. The paper focuses on the immigrant psychology of South Asian Canadian Women’s Poetry. Immigrant experience is the central to number of her poems. All these poets have felt marginalised colonised ; most of them know about immigration either first or second hand which traumatised them expressively and psychologically.
